I once took a deep breath

And it healed scars I never knew existed

As you start to read this, please take note of your breath.

If you feel shallow with your breath, please take a deep breath.

If you felt a deep and full inhalation, then you are on the right track.

With this simple habit, you have declared your freedom.

With this habit, you have planted your flag and claimed ownership of your life.

And now you stand at the top of your game.

Everyone who seems to interact with you can feel it. Both of your eyes are full of life and empathy. You feel determined and eager to learn, to listen to what they have to say.

Meanwhile, your mind is blank.

Traffic is at a standstill.

The waves have crashed and cleaned the world that your mind has created.

Each time you see this blank canvas, you get another lifeline.

You get another chance to pass this level, except this time with much more experience.

You are strapped with immense confidence, to call you cocky would be a grave mistake.

Your energy continues to attract more of where that came from and you just can’t get enough.

You are addicted and you can’t help yourself and indulge frequently.

Your breath gets a bit better with each rep and your mind feels lighter with each hit.

You look in the mirror and say to yourself:

high there

The reflection in the mirror says back to you:

take another hit

And so you take another deep breath and find yourself exhilarated beyond your wildest imagination.

All of this for something so cheap.

And don’t forget, you have always had this, you just forgot.

Till next time,

Be merry and take a deep breath
